That’s why all our sofas and furniture go through extensive quality checks and testing before we ever offer them for sale - meaning we can be so confident in their quality, we can offer guarantees of up to 15 years across our products. Sofa guarantees
At DFS, we put over 50 years of experience and expertise into making sure you never need to use your guarantee. However, especially with a big investment like a sofa - it’s comforting to know that the frame and frame springs of every single new DFS sofa, sofa bed, chair, footstool and pet sofa are all covered for a full 15 years.

DFS is the first sofa retailer and manufacturer to hold the domestic furniture BSI Kitemark for all sofas, sofa beds & recliners, sold both online and instore.

Fabrics, leathers and stitching
All upholstery fabrics, leathers and stitching on our sofas are guaranteed for 2 years.
Sofa fillings
All our sofa fillings are guaranteed to perform for 2 years, as long as the standard maintenance advice is followed.
Recliner mechanisms
All our manual and electric recliner sofas are covered against mechanical and electrical failures of moving parts, switches and handles for 2 years.
Sofa bed mechanisms
All our manual and electric sofa bed mechanisms are guaranteed for 2 years.
Electrical parts
Other electrical parts on our sofas, including USB and USB-C ports, wireless charging pads, and speakers, are guaranteed for 1 year.
Recliner batteries
The battery packs on our Power Plus recliners are guaranteed for 1 year.

For even more peace of mind when buying a new sofa from DFS, you can opt for a Sofacare package at checkout. Our Sofacare insurance packages extend many of our existing guarantees to a full 5 years, as well as covering you for accidental damage.
OnCloud9 compressed sofa guarantees
Because our compressed sofas are frameless, with a hybrid pocket sprung and foam interior, their guarantees are different from our standard sofa guarantee. All OnCloud9 products come with a 5 year manufacturer’s warranty, which covers features like structural stability and support.
Mattress guarantees
With a wide selection of mattresses from different brands and manufacturers available at DFS, there is also a variety in the guarantees we offer. All our mattresses come with a minimum of a 2 year guarantee, but we also stock mattresses with 5, 7 and even a whopping 10 year manufacturers’ guarantees.

From clever storage ottomans to sleek bed frames, all our beds at DFS go through a comprehensive quality assurance and testing process, and come with a 2 year guarantee - so you can sleep easy, knowing we’re confident in the build quality of your bed.
