Where should a headboard sit?
The headboard of your bed should sit securely against a solid wall - avoiding putting windows behind the head of the bed, if possible.
You should also ensure that it's securely attached (either to the bed or the wall), with the board being slightly wider than the bed frame. If you're going for a clean look, the bottom edge of the board shouldn't be seen when looking at your bed.
