What are the different types of mattress?
Everyone has different needs and preferences when sleeping, so naturally there are many different types of mattresses to suit all kinds of sleepers. Some of the most popular mattress types are: Pocket sprung mattresses which are filled with springs in individual pockets, to spread weight evenly across the mattress and isolate movement. Memory foam mattresses said to be the most supportive type of mattress, and are designed to mould to your body over time to give you support where you need it most.
Then there are Open coil mattresses which are a more affordable option whilst still offering a good comfort level for smaller budgets. Gel mattresses which offer extra airflow for those who tend to get too hot at night. Combination mattresses use two or more types of mattress fillings in the same mattress meaning they work together to deliver the benefits of both; for example, pocket sprung and memory foam. And Boxed or rolled mattresses which are super convenient, and come tightly rolled and delivered in small packages. Making them ideal for apartment living or those who need to get their mattress up multiple flights of stairs
What are the different mattress firmness options?
Mattress firmnesses range from soft mattresses at one end of the spectrum, offering the ultimate in sink-in sleeping, to firm mattresses at the other, which deliver much more support. Of course, not everyone wants an extreme of the scale - and our most popular firmness levels are medium soft mattresses, medium mattresses, and medium firm mattresses, which all offer degrees of both ends of the scale.
