Paul Freeman - Care and Service

As Head of Service Manager Development, Paul is our in-house expert on getting the most out of your sofa. With his extensive experience – nearly 40 years! – in the furniture industry, he’s helped author articles about what to expect from your new sofa, preparing for your exciting delivery, and plenty more.

Paul joined the DFS ranks over 29 years ago as a service manager, hankering for a change from his previous position as a fully qualified upholsterer. Since then, he’s progressed from area service manager, to national service manager, to his current role as Head of Service Manager Development, in which he oversees all service manager training and onboarding. Paul’s day-to-day is helping our service managers understand customers’ concerns, so you always receive the same quality furniture and care you expect from DFS – no matter where you are.

When he’s not training the next wave of experts, Paul enjoys visiting his seven grandchildren or flexing his green thumb in the garden. He’s big on all things cars and engines, too, so you’ll find him in front of the TV for the grand prix on a Sunday (cheering on GR63!).
