What is a tog rating?
A tog rating - meaning thermal overall grade rating - is the scientific measurement for how warm and insulating your duvet is. The higher the tog rating of a duvet, the warmer you will be!
You’ll want to consider the tog rating when shopping for your perfect duvet or blanket; if you’re a warmer sleeper or you’re shopping for summer, a lower tog duvet is best, while a higher tog duvet will be cosier for winter and sleepers who run cold. Generally, 10.5 tog duvets are perfect for year-round sleeping in temperature-controlled homes.
What type of pillow is best for me?
The perfect pillow for you depends on your sleeping position, how much support you need and whether you run cold or hot in your sleep.
Side sleepers should consider a firm or medium-firm pillow for spinal support - we recommend the Hotel Collection Box Pillow that retains its plump shape night after night. Sleep on your front? Why do I need a mattress protector?
A mattress protector - as the name suggests - protects your mattress against spills, stains and dust mites. While optional, we would always recommend buying a mattress protector to extend the lifespan of your mattress, keeping it comfier and cleaner for longer. Some mattress protectors even offer added features such as cushioning and quilting for more sumptuous sleep.
Can I return bedding to DFS?
Due to hygiene and health reasons, we are unable to accept returns on bedding products unless they are damaged on arrival, faulty, or not as specified. If your item does qualify for a return, it should be returned unused and in its original packaging with no damage to the packaging. Each of our bedding products comes with a two-year warranty to cover any manufacturer faults.
