Divan beds are a practical and popular bed choice, made from a sturdy wooden bed frame, which is upholstered for a supportive, solid base to be topped with a mattress.

They have a range of benefits including affordability, smaller footprints, and there are even bed frames with built-in drawers for storage. Divan bed frames are also often lighter, more compact and easier to move than other styles of bed frames too.

Some designs feature padded and upholstered headboards for that extra level of comfort come bed time, while others are ideal to pair with your existing headboard.

Many divan bed bases come apart for ease of delivery, so they can be ideal for home with awkward access or tight staircases. You may find the headboards and foot end can be detached, while many styles are designed for the frame to be delivered in two separate sections, only bolted together when being assembled.

Choosing a bed like this is a great option for those who regularly move house or if you like to switch up your bedroom décor as often as the seasons change.
