Paul Vaughan - Quality Manager and Technical Expert

As DFS’ Quality Control Manager, Paul is our expert on the ins and outs of upholstered sofas and furniture products. He’s used his quality and technical knowledge to help our customers understand everything from using motion furniture to getting the most out of their sofa’s special features and general expectations.

Paul – or Paul Vaughan BA (Hons) CQP-MCQI, to give him his full title – has 14 years of experience in Product Technology and Regulatory Compliance, with expertise in furniture, leather, apparel and industries beyond. He’s a chartered quality professional as approved by the Chartered Quality Institute, and acts in a voluntary role as a technical expert for the British Furniture Association, where he helps develop testing standards and methods for British Standards Institute committees. If all that wasn’t enough, Paul also leads development of the DFS Supplier Code of Practice, which outlines our expectations of suppliers .

Beyond the world of sofas, you’ll find Paul playing field hockey, reading up on industry standards, or – most importantly – crying his eyes out to the happy ending of a film with his partner and two young children.
