High gloss materials are highly durable and easy to maintain. Constructed from MDF or solid wood, with a laminated glossy surface, unlike some other types of furniture, the upper layers actually become harder when exposed to UV rays - making them more resistant to sunlight and fading. High gloss furniture requires a different cleaning method to some other materials, but that doesn’t mean it has to take up a lot more of your time - in fact, it is surprisingly easy to keep high gloss lacquers looking their best.
How to clean high gloss furniture
Wipe down with a damp cloth regularly to remove dust
After wiping with a damp cloth, take a soft, clean, dry cloth and gently buff the clean surface back to its original shine. For best results alternate cleaning and buffing, working on small areas at a time
Never use chemical cleaners on high gloss furniture as you risk damaging the finish
