It's good to know that the everyday accidents in a busy home won't cost you. This policy is valid for 5 years from the date your new bed or table is delivered.
Our 5 year cover starting from the date of delivery of your furniture covers you for accidental staining of your bedroom and dining furniture, including dye transfer from clothing or newspaper print, plus any spills like food or drink... [read more] that leave a mess behind. You’re also protected against any sudden accidents that leave scuffs, tears, burns, rips, scratches or punctures. Accidental damage by children or pets is also covered as part of the plan. 3 year cover starting from the end of the 2 year manufacturer guarantee for interiors, exteriors, motion furniture and stain protection. The plan does not cover general cleaning or gradual wearing of the furniture through normal use. Accidental damage by pets is covered ... [read more] under the plan however a build up of damage caused by pets is not*. Colour loss or fading by a build up of dye transfer or sunlight is not covered and neither is damage caused by using the wrong cleaning products.
You are only eligible for the Sofacare policy if the furniture is going into your home. You cannot purchase the Sofacare policy for use in business properties or properties you let out.

How do I claim?

How will I be compensated?
Guardsman has a UK wide team of trained furniture experts. We may send out an expert technician to look at the damage, and where appropriate we... [read more] will aim to clean or repair your furniture. If we can’t, then we’ll make an effort to replace it with something as close to your original purchase as possible. [read less]
If the item needs to be entirely replaced, Guardsman will try its hardest to match your product in wood grain, pattern and colour – however, we can't guarantee an exact match.
