Many of our marble dining tables are genuine solid marble, which have been painstakingly hand lacquered and polished. As well as creating a beautiful, high gloss finish, this process helps to protect the marble from stains like coffee and wine, and make it suitable for everyday use - marble that doesn’t have this finish tends to be porous, and is susceptible to spills and marks. One thing to note with solid marble furniture is that it is very, very heavy - so you should never try to move or assemble solid marble furniture on your own.
