How to care for your jumbo cord sofa

Life happens - and that means spills, stains, and accidents happen too. Luckily, jumbo cord sofas are relatively easy to clean and a low maintenance, durable option against daily wear and tear. Read our top tips for caring for your sofa below.

1. Keep out of direct sunlight

We know your sofa looks lovely and luxurious with the sun shining on it - but too much direct sunlight can cause colour to fade fast and age your sofa before its time. Try to keep your sofa out of direct sunlight to keep that brand-new look for longer.

2. Spot clean spills

Like any fabric sofa, dealing with spills quickly is key here. Use a damp, clean cloth to blot - not rub, as this can damage the texture - any spillages as soon as they happen, then leave the patch to air dry. You should avoid using heat to try to quickly dry your sofa as this can cause fading, shrinkage, and damage to the cord.

3. Give it a brush

Cord is loved for its luscious straight lines - keep these in check by brushing your sofa regularly in the direction of the nap. By brushing, you’ll also sweep up any bits of dust and debris before they cause a problem.
