As DFS’s Copywriter, Alessandra’s job is translating the world of sofas and furniture into easy-to-digest inspirational articles, guides, and product descriptions. With her key position within DFS, she can use our internal and external resources to really drill into the latest trends, expert advice, and answer those burning questions you want to know – from curved sofa conundrums to exploring the big deal about boucle.

Alessandra has worked in marketing and content for over 10 years, writing for service and product-based brands across home and furniture, beauty, ecommerce, jewellery, arts and crafts, and recruitment – even launching several of her own direct-to-consumer businesses. Since joining DFS in 2022, she’s put her heart and soul into building a library of inspirational ideas and articles, designed to help customers navigate the complexities of choosing and buying furniture they’ll love for years to come. As a new mum and seasoned home renovator herself – currently working with her Surveyor husband on their second top-to-bottom home renovation by just 30 years old, now with a baby in tow – she knows firsthand how much time and energy it takes to get your home just right, how many decisions there are to make, and how integral expert advice can be.

When she’s not writing about furniture, Alessandra spends her time volunteering – creating design projects for local not-for-profit initiatives, and currently training to be a Unit Leader at Girlguiding – and cooking and baking ever more complex recipes in her kitchen. She’s also a big crafter who loves to create bespoke greeting cards, and even has a YouTube channel to show off her creations.
