Day 30 #mydailyrenovation, and we won! Definitely a November Highlight 🥳 A big thank you to everybody who voted and followed along, it's been an insanely busy month here getting the lounge finished, but we did it!

Well, very nearly 🤣. We found out yesterday the blinds will be delayed by another two weeks, which is annoying as we've already got rid of the old ones, but not the end of the world. The brass light switches won't be fitted until next week either, and the new rug isn’t here yet... but before the Christmas decs go up tomorrow, I wanted to share a few before and afters of it.

The rewire and fireplace knock out/boarding up/plastering was done in Feb before we moved in, but everything else was done in the last eight weeks, which was:

New skirting, picture rail and moulding
Wallpapering (not us)
Ceiling and coving repair
Painting walls & ceiling
Stripping and repainting glass doors
Stripping and repainting fire surround
Building and tiling hearth/fireplace
Laying new floor (not us)
Cupboard revamp
New (to us) TV unit
New lights
New sofa

It still needs blinds, probably curtains too, rug, new side tables, big lamp, more cushions, nice throws, and more plants! Santa?🤣

Long time no post 👀

Returned to the home account to show off our new rug! I loved our previous faux cow hide one but it was just impossible to keep clean with a dog, so we opted for this traditional style one from dunelmuk and we are in love 😍

It’s machine washable and flat so easy to hoover (god, adulthood is so boring 🥲) so perfect for the pooch who loves to slobber and leave pawprints/hair everywhere 🐾

I’m getting so jealous of everyone having their Christmas decs up so I’m slowly but surely adding some little bits about the house to make it feel more festive!
Our tree doesn’t get delivered until the 8th so I’ve to wait until then until the main decs can go up but it seems like ages away!

P.s. I can’t wait for the art to arrive for this wall, I hope it’s going to look as good as it does in my head!

LAST OF AUTUMN

So everything is now Xmas on here… and don’t get me wrong, I love it and I can’t wait to put the tree up (even if the puppy will likely eat the tree) - but it’s still Autumn to me and I want to enjoy it just a few weeks longer.

These decadent little gold and marble numbers split opinions on my stories a few weeks ago. Half of you were loving them, and half of you thought I'd lost the plot.

I love them because the person who originally bought them was my mother-in-law and she would be over the moon that they are in our home! I also feel this room can carry them, infact i think they are pretty much perfect.
