Why does guaranteed Christmas delivery on some products end sooner than others?
With such a wide range of styles, shapes, price points and types of furniture, it’s no surprise that we at DFS work with a range of manufacturers and suppliers to source and create our products. Some of our sofas are made right here in the UK, in our own workshops and factories, while others are made further afield, in Europe and China. The further away a product is made, the longer it takes to ship, so some of our ranges have longer lead times than others, which affects the cutoff dates for guaranteed Christmas delivery. On the other hand, while much of our catalogue is made to order, we do have a significant and growing number of products that are in stock and ready to ship, year-round – so there’s always plenty of choice if you want your sofa, mattress, bed or other furniture quickly.
When does guaranteed Christmas delivery end at DFS?
All of our ranges have different cutoff points for guaranteed Christmas delivery, so it’s best to order early if you’ve got your heart set on something in particular! Some of our sofas are only guaranteed to be delivered in time for Christmas when you order in October, while other ranges may still be available for Christmas delivery into November and early December.
